Fill out this worksheet as you save and read articles for the Annotated Bibliography assignment.

What is your topic area for your research project? What are the key concepts or variables you want to study?

Try to name all the possible key search words you can think of.

Do a keyword search on your proposed topic using several different academic communication databases: Communication & Mass Media Complete, Academic Search Premier, PsychINFO, SocIndex, EBSCO, etc. (All can be found on the library website.) Do a keyword search for your topic and record different journal articles that might be related to your research topic. Record information about each article in APA format and save the article for future reference. Some of these articles will be used in your annotated bibliography assignment, and many of them will be used in your literature review paper.

When you're listing your journal articles, include the following information for APA citation format. See the APA sources on the syllabus, on our course webpage, and online for more information.

Author names in publication order with first and middle initial. YEAR of publication. Complete title of article. Name of academic journal, Volume, inclusive page numbers. DOI for each article available electronically.
